Eshmell Arath Mendez, a 19-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost his life on April 29, 2021, in Austin, Texas. Mendez was visiting friends at the Goodnight Commons Apartments in southeast Austin when the incident occurred. Around 6:50 p.m., Jeremiah Crayton, an 18-year-old male, knocked on the apartment door.
