On June 2, 2021, 19-year-old Jeremiah K. Grant was fatally shot in Silsbee, Texas. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM at the Buzzy Bee Convenience Store located at 970 Hwy 96 S. Grant was found lying in the roadway on MLK near Pine Street and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation suggested that the shooting was the result of an altercation stemming from drug activity.
