He was born on October 24, 1984, in Galveston, Texas, to Carolyn Watts Russell and Joseph Paul Russell Jr. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Layla Cordova, and his parents, Carolyn W. Russell and Joseph "Joby" Paul Russell Jr. He also leaves behind siblings, Jessaca Russell, Lelani Russell, and Aliyah Russell, as well as several other family members.
