Tyler Trip Womack, a 29-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity from Beaumont, Texas, tragically died on July 11, 2021, from gunshot wounds. He was found on the porch of a nearby residence in the early hours of the morning, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Womack was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into Womack's death revealed that the shooting occurred at a different location, with a trail of blood leading to the residence where
he was found. Beaumont police arrested several suspects in connection with the murder. Jacorry Green, already in custody for a robbery charge, was indicted for Womack's murder. Green later entered into a plea agreement, admitting guilt and providing information about other suspects involved in the shooting. Terry Jerome Booker was also arrested and indicted for the murder.
The motive for the murder was determined to be robbery. Green and Booker were not the shooters, according to the lead prosecutor, but two other suspects, already in jail on unrelated charges, were identified as the alleged gunmen. The Jefferson County District Attorney's Office is pursuing murder cases against each of the three individuals involved.
Tyler Womack was well-loved in his community, known for his positive attitude and willingness to help others. He was a graduate of West Brook High School and worked in the oil and gas industry as a pipeline inspector. He was also involved in organizing the KIP "Keep It Positive" Movement in Beaumont. Womack is survived by his mother, father, children, sister, and numerous other relatives and friends.
The case continues to be actively investigated, with the goal of bringing all responsible parties to justice.
