James Burrows, a 63-year-old man from Austin, Texas, was tragically shot and killed on the early morning of August 1, 2021. He was found lying in a parking lot located at the 1400 block of East 38 1/2 Street with gunshot wounds. The Austin Police Department responded to the scene after multiple callers reported hearing gunshots around 2:15 a.m. Despite officers' efforts to perform life-saving measures, Burrows was pronounced dead at the scene.
