Robert Juarez, a 22-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost his life on October 21, 2021, in Waco, Texas. He was fatally shot in the 800 block of South 12th Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. When the police arrived at the scene, they found Juarez suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately began life-saving measures, but he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into Robert Juarez's death led to the arrest of two individuals.
Anthony Al Chambers, a 39-year-old male, and Aleisha Kaishun Hilliard, a 27-year-old female, both of Waco, were charged with capital murder. Chambers was arrested while being held in Bell County Jail on unrelated charges, and Hilliard was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in December 2021. The McLennan County Grand Jury indicted both Chambers and Hilliard on capital murder charges in March 2022.
The case has been ongoing, with both suspects facing serious legal consequences for their alleged involvement in the shooting. The community continues to mourn the loss of Robert Juarez, and his family and friends seek justice for his untimely death.
