On October 23, 2021, Jose Aguirre-Martinez, a 49-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot in the driveway of a residence in the 6400 block of Hickman Avenue in northeast Austin, Texas. The incident occurred around 4:07 p.m. after a verbal altercation broke out among friends and family. According to witnesses, Jose Luis Gorostieta-Martinez, a 44-year-old Hispanic male, shot Aguirre-Martinez and fled the scene.
