Samuel Mendez Jr., a 37-year-old Hispanic male from Laredo, Texas, tragically passed away on October 30, 2021. He was fatally shot by his brother, Gilbert Jerry Mendez, 28, in their family home located in the 200 block of East Olive Street. The incident occurred in the afternoon, and Samuel Mendez Sr., the father of both men, was also shot and killed at the scene. Samuel Mendez Jr. was critically injured and taken to Laredo Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries several days later.
