David Fiscal, a 35-year-old man from Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on April 16, 2022. Fiscal was sitting in his wheelchair outside a nightclub in the 6800 block of South Gessner Road when he was approached by a masked man. The assailant, later identified as 24-year-old Miguel Angel Nicanor Bartolo, shot Fiscal multiple times. Fiscal was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the incident, the Houston Police Department launched an investigation.
On May 11, 2022, officers attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by Bartolo, which led to a brief chase. Bartolo and an unidentified passenger were taken into custody. Bartolo was subsequently charged with murder and felony evading arrest.
The case remains under investigation, and Bartolo is awaiting trial for his role in Fiscal's death. The community continues to mourn the loss of David Fiscal, whose life was cut short in this senseless act of violence.
