John Ferney Moreno-Cendales, a 47-year-old Hispanic man, tragically lost his life on May 21, 2022, in Austin, Texas. The incident occurred outside Club Lobos in North Austin, where Moreno-Cendales was shot following a verbal altercation with another man. He was found in the parking lot with severe injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The Austin Police Department identified Osmar Escobar Gaona, a 20-year-old suspect, in
connection with the shooting. Detectives believe that Escobar Gaona fled to Mexico on the same day as the incident and remains at large. A warrant for first-degree murder has been issued for Escobar Gaona, and the police are actively seeking information from the public to locate him.
