John M. Young, a 60-year-old man, was found shot to death early in the morning of September 16, 2020, at a bus stop in South Austin, Texas. He was experiencing homelessness and was sleeping on the bus stop bench when he was killed. The Austin Police Department responded to a call about a man bleeding at the scene and pronounced him dead shortly after arrival. The Travis County Medical Examiner's office conducted an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
