On a summer evening in St. Louis, what began as a gathering of individuals would end in the tragic death of Edward Lamont Tammons. In the early hours of Thursday, June 30, 2016, the 36-year-old Black / African American man was in the company of others in the 5000 block of Kensington Avenue, located in the city's Academy neighborhood.
