Summary based on 9 sources
Amari’yon Cravin, a 17-year-old African American male, was found dead on October 7, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. Cravin was one of four young men who were discovered shot and killed inside a vehicle on East Jessamine Street in Fort Worth's Morningside neighborhood. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the other victims as 19-year-old Ricky Jovon Craddock, along with Jaizson Deshaun Nash and Marc DeWayne Boyd Jr., both 17 years old. The incident occurred during what police believe was a robbery involving a drug deal. Multiple weapons were found at the scene, and the police have seized them as part of their investigation.

Cravin had a history of legal troubles prior to his death. In May 2022, he was arrested for shooting into a crowd outside the popular Varsity Tavern bar off West 7th Street in Fort Worth. He was charged with nine counts of aggravated assault and one count of deadly conduct. His bond was set at $145,000, and despite his lawyer's argument that the bond was excessive, it was never reduced. Cravin was released from jail on August 2, 2022, after spending 81 days in custody. He was scheduled to appear in court for allegedly violating the conditions of his bond just days after his death.

The quadruple homicide has drawn significant attention from the Fort Worth community and local leaders. Reverend Kyev Tatum, a community leader and pastor, used a photo of the deceased teens to highlight the urgent need for addressing gun violence in the area. He organized a neighborhood meeting to discuss the impact of the murders and to seek solutions for preventing future violence. The meeting aimed to bring together committed and compassionate adults to work on strategies to reduce crime and provide support for the affected community.

As of now, no suspects have been named in connection with the murders. Witnesses reported seeing at least one suspect driving away from the scene in a grey Dodge Challenger. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are continuing to gather evidence and follow leads to identify those responsible for the tragic deaths of Amari’yon Cravin and the other young men. The community remains hopeful that justice will be served and that measures will be taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
