On October 31, 2022, 52-year-old Jesus Castro-Rosales was found shot to death in the bathroom of an apartment in Northeast Austin. The incident occurred at the Flats at Cameron apartment complex, near the Cameron Road and Highway 183 intersection. The Austin Police Department responded to the scene after the property manager reported finding Castro-Rosales lying down in what was supposed to be a vacant unit.
