Joshua Neil Goen, a 43-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, tragically died on December 9, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas. He was the superintendent of Seagraves Independent School District and was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at a residence in Shallowater, Texas. Joshua was under investigation for allegedly planting a recording device in the visiting girls' locker room at Seagraves High School.
The device was discovered on November 16, 2022, and subsequent investigation revealed footage implicating Joshua.
On November 22, 2022, Joshua was placed on administrative leave, and on December 5, 2022, he was arrested on charges of invasive visual recording, a state jail felony.
