In the autumn of 1906, the community of Spring City, Tennessee, was shaken by the violent death of one of its own lawmen. City Marshal Milton Harvey Galloway, a 40-year-old man, succumbed to gunshot wounds on Tuesday, November 13, 1906, three days after a fateful encounter at the city's train depot. His unwavering commitment to his duty ultimately cost him his life.
