In the summer of 2017, the community of Greeneville, Tennessee, was struck by the tragic death of Wesley Blaine Banther. On Saturday, July 8, 2017, the 17-year-old male, lost his life due to a gunshot wound. At the time of the incident, reports from local news sources indicated that the shooting was considered accidental. Wesley, known to his loved ones as Blaine, was a student at South Greene High School.
