In the small Tennessee community of Cotula, a tragic and violent encounter unfolded on Friday, May 5, 1911, ending the life of 26-year-old Deputy Sheriff J. Wily Warwick. On that fateful day, Deputy Warwick, a male officer with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office, was engaged in the performance of his duties alongside another deputy.
