Ward Adcock, a 44-year-old male from Knoxville, TN, was tragically found shot in his bed at his home on Berkshire Boulevard in Powell on October 19, 1987. The case remains unsolved, and Ward Adcock's death is one of the 24 homicides in Knox County that have yet to be resolved. The Knox County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Unit continues to re-examine case files, re-interview witnesses and suspects, and reprocess old evidence using modern technology in hopes of finding new leads.
