Edwin Joe Todd Jr., a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on April 27, 2006, in Knoxville, Tennessee. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Red Iguana nightclub in the Old City area of Downtown Knoxville. The altercation began inside the club and escalated outside, where Todd was fatally shot during a large brawl.
