In the early morning hours of April 27, 2006, the life of 23-year-old Edwin Joe Todd Jr. was tragically cut short in a parking lot in Knoxville, Tennessee. A college student who had moved to the South from Chicago, he was known to his family as 'JR' and to his friends as 'Shaq' because of his love for basketball.
