In February of 2014, a tragic event unfolded in the Frayser neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee, resulting in the death of 31-year-old Robert Dale. On the 11th of that month, Dale and another individual, Aaron Moore, who was 48, were fatally shot in the 3900 block of Brooksville. The incident cut short the lives of two men and left a community searching for answers.
The investigation into the double homicide led authorities to a suspect, Eddie Harris, who was 32 years old at the time.
Witnesses came forward, providing crucial information that implicated Harris in the killings. According to their statements, Harris had admitted to the shootings and to taking drugs and money from the scene, suggesting a robbery-motivated crime. In June of 2016, justice was served in a Shelby County Criminal Courtroom. Following the presentation of evidence and witness testimonies, a jury found Eddie Harris guilty of the murders of both Robert Dale and Aaron Moore. For his role in the brutal slayings, Harris was convicted of first-degree murder and subsequently sentenced by Judge Chris Craft to life in prison, ensuring he would be held accountable for his actions.
