In the early morning hours of a Sunday in March 2014, a dispute in a downtown Johnson City, Tennessee parking lot escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of DeShaun Wesley Greer. The incident, which occurred in a parking lot on Cherry Street, began as a large disturbance. Authorities were called to the scene and were initially able to restore some order, but the situation devolved into a shootout.
