Don Ray Clark Sr., a 63-year-old Black male and United States Army veteran, resided in the Dutchtown neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Known affectionately by his neighbors as 'Pops,' he suffered from multiple health issues, including diabetes, poor vision, and hearing loss, which limited his mobility.
