On a summer evening in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the life of 18-year-old Melvin Crayton was tragically cut short. On Sunday, July 6, 2014, in the area of East 25th Street, Crayton was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m., a time when the day was beginning to wind down, but for Crayton, it was the violent end to his young life.
