In the quiet, early morning hours of August 13, 2017, in Ogden, Utah, the life of 47-year-old Hispanic female, Maria Sanchez, was tragically cut short in an act of senseless violence. While asleep in her bed, within the presumed safety of her home on the 300 block of 28th Street, multiple gunshots were fired into the residence. Struck by the hail of bullets, Sanchez was critically injured and rushed to a local hospital. She ultimately succumbed to her wounds the following day.
