On a tragic day in Memphis, Tennessee, 34-year-old Tasha Timeka Freeman-Thomas, a mother of two, lost her life in a brutal act of domestic violence. On September 2, 2014, while at her job at the University of Little Scholars Daycare in Whitehaven, her estranged husband, Charles E. Thomas III, fatally shot her in the parking lot. The couple had a documented history of domestic disputes, and Tasha was in the process of divorcing him.
