Reverend Dr. Autura Eason-Williams, a 52-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on July 18, 2022, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a prominent leader in the United Methodist Church, serving as the superintendent of the Metro District of the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference and the pastor of Capleville United Methodist Church.
