Gilbert Bernard "Gizzy" Fowler, a 24-year-old transgender woman, was tragically found shot to death on the morning of November 12, 2014, in the driveway of an unoccupied home in the Bordeaux area of Nashville, Tennessee. She was discovered beside her Buick Lacrosse with a gunshot wound to the head. The investigation revealed that Gilbert had traveled to the area to meet someone, and phone records linked Mallory Porter, an 18-year-old, to the crime.
