In the early morning hours of October 25, 2015, a knock at the door of her South Nashville home on Hopewood Court forever altered the lives of Olympia Hobbs's family. The 33-year-old woman was fatally shot as she went to answer the door at approximately 2 a.m. Her two children, ages 13 and 5, were inside the residence at the time but were unharmed. Emergency services transported Hobbs to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
