On October 8, 2016, Lamar Moses, 67, was found shot to death in his home on South Shartel Avenue in Oklahoma City. Responding to reports of a shooting, police discovered Moses with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Although there were several witnesses present, no arrests were made immediately. Investigators continued to gather information to solve the case. Moses' murder marked the 61st homicide in Oklahoma City for that year.
