In the autumn of 2015, the life of 26-year-old Mikkel Latrece Joy was tragically cut short in Jackson, Tennessee. On October 26th, she became a victim of fatal gun violence.

Initial investigations by the Jackson Police Department pointed to an apparent murder and attempted suicide. The incident left the community in shock and mourning for the young woman.
