In Madison, Tennessee, on the evening of February 20, 2016, a confrontation between two men escalated with fatal consequences, ending the life of 32-year-old Brandon Michael Edmondson, Sr. The incident, which took place in the 200 block of Rio Vista Drive, concluded with Edmondson suffering a fatal gunshot wound. The man responsible for the shooting, David L. Sullivan, remained at the scene and claimed to have acted in self-defense.
