Jajuan Hubert Latham, a 12-year-old African American boy from Knoxville, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on April 16, 2016. He was a sixth-grade student at Bearden Middle School and was known for his vibrant personality and love for basketball. Jajuan was killed in a gang-related shooting at Danny Mayfield Park in the Mechanicsville community of Knoxville. He was sitting in the back seat of his father's parked vehicle when he was struck in the head by gunfire.
