On a spring evening in Knoxville, Tennessee, the life of 12-year-old Jajuan Latham was tragically cut short. The African American boy was a sixth-grade student at Bearden Middle School, known for his love of basketball. On April 16, 2016, Jajuan was sitting in the back of his father's parked SUV at Danny Mayfield Park in the Mechanicsville community.
