In the spring of 2016, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace of a Memphis neighborhood, tragically ending the life of 22-year-old Demetrius Conklin. On the evening of May 10th, in the Binghampton area, Conklin was pursued down the 2900 block of Mimosa Avenue. The assailant, relentlessly firing shots into Conklin's vehicle, inflicted wounds that would prove fatal. Rushed to Regional One Health, Conklin succumbed to his injuries, his death quickly ruled a homicide by investigators.
