On February 20, 2017, a sixteen-year-old male named John Frost was fatally shot in St. Louis, Missouri. The teenager had arrived in the city less than twenty-four hours prior to the incident, having returned from Texas where he had been living with his grandfather for approximately four months. According to those who knew him, he had originally left St. Louis to seek a better environment and had only come back for a brief visit.
