A quiet Friday morning in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire on April 15, 2016. Inside an apartment on the 2700 block of Hadley Street, a tragic scene unfolded, leaving two people dead and a third critically injured. The deceased were identified as 35-year-old Shawn Quinn and 32-year-old Gina Smith. A third victim, a 20-year-old man whose name was not publicly released, was also shot and rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
