In the summer of 2016, a single act of violence tragically cut short the life of 28-year-old Louis Tate in Memphis, Tennessee. On the evening of July 16th, Tate was discovered lying in the road at the intersection of Lamar Avenue and Perkins Street, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Black male was the victim of a drive-by shooting, a brutal and senseless end to a young life.
