Wartario Franklin Jr., a 19-year-old African American male from Memphis, TN, tragically died on April 24, 2018. He was a recent high school graduate and prospective Army recruit who was shot while sleeping in his bed. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. when gunfire erupted at his family's house.
