Death by Force

On December 12, 2023, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Memphis Police Department officers responded to a shooting near a gas station in the 2100 block of Sycamore View in northeast Memphis. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old Jermar Verselee Williams-Taper seated in the driver's seat of his vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
