Marquise Jackson, a 24-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on August 7, 2016, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was shot and killed on Water Street, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of medical personnel to save him, Jackson succumbed to his injuries. The Chattanooga Police Department responded to the scene and launched an investigation into his death, which was ruled a homicide.
