In the early morning hours of August 28, 2016, the life of 24-year-old Victor C. Connor, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Nashville, Tennessee. He was discovered unconscious at the intersection of 11th Avenue North and Cockrill Street shortly before 5:00 a.m. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but it was too late; Connor was pronounced deceased due to multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation into his death revealed a timeline of events from the preceding hours.
Residents in the area reported hearing gunshots around midnight, several hours before Connor's body was found. It is believed that he was shot shortly before he was discovered, having come from the direction of Cockrill Street before collapsing at the intersection.
