James L. Perry, a 34-year-old man from Nashville, Tennessee, was fatally shot on the morning of September 23, 2017. Perry was returning to his car, which had been waiting for him, when he was approached by a man wearing a hoodie who shot him multiple times. Perry's girlfriend, who was with him at the time, immediately notified the police, but despite their efforts, Perry died at the scene.
