In the quiet town of Milan, Tennessee, the evening of September 26, 2017, was shattered by the sound of gunfire that would irrevocably alter the lives of two families. Deairrious D. 'DeDe' Young, a 20-year-old African American male, was fatally shot outside an apartment complex in the Meadows of Milan. A second victim, 19-year-old Troy A. 'Tuman' Whitmore II, was also critically injured in the attack and succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to the Milan Emergency Room. Young ...
