On a crisp autumn morning in Springfield, Tennessee, the community was rocked by a violent tragedy that unfolded at the Legacy Village Apartments. On November 9, 2017, 28-year-old Stephen T. Brown, a White male from nearby Greenbrier, was found deceased in an upstairs breezeway of one of the apartment buildings. The initial call to emergency services came in around 6:30 a.m. reporting a gunshot wound.
When Springfield Police and Robertson County EMS arrived at the scene on Old Greenbrier Pike, they discovered Brown had been shot multiple times.
The investigation into the death of Stephen Brown quickly moved forward.
