In the quiet town of Springfield, Tennessee, the morning of February 15, 2017, was shattered by the discovery of a young man's body. Demetrius Dantrell Mack, a 25-year-old Black male and a disabled Army veteran, was found slumped over in his vehicle on 21st Avenue East. The car was still running and had come to a rest against a tree, its doors locked and windows up.
