In the early morning hours of December 19, 2017, the life of James Q. Turner Sr., a 41-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Nashville, Tennessee. Responding to a report of shots fired shortly before 6:00 a.m., police discovered Turner lying on the road next to his silver Ford Taurus near 1522 22nd Avenue. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
