Derrick Brandon Wells, a 47-year-old man from Columbia, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on May 6, 2018. He was found lying on the ground in front of an apartment in the River Villa Apartments complex after responding officers arrived at the scene following a shots fired call. Wells had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive when help arrived. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at Maury Regional Medical Center later that day.
