James Matthew "Matt" Poynter, a 38-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, tragically died on August 6, 2018. He was a professional landscaper and an outstanding natural baseball player. Poynter was well-loved by his family and friends, known for his jokes and quick wit. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Poynter, and his sister, Heather Dugan, along with his nieces Brooke, Taylor, and McKenzie.
