In the late summer evening of August 6, 2018, the life of James Matthew 'Matt' Poynter, a 38-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A professional landscaper known for his quick wit and love of baseball, Poynter was discovered in the driver's seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence on East Street. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
