Shaterrica Davis, a 31-year-old woman from Cleveland, Ohio, tragically passed away on September 27, 2022. She was found in the parking lot of the North Randall Apartments with a fatal gunshot wound to the right side of her head. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m., and the police were called to the scene shortly after. Davis's death was ruled a homicide by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
The investigation into Davis's death revealed that she had been involved in a heated argument with her partner, Darnesha Embry, earlier that evening. Embry had become intoxicated at a local lounge, and the argument continued as they drove to Davis's apartment complex. Embry called several friends, including her former girlfriend, Ashley Davis Harris, to come and pick her up. When the police arrived, they briefly spoke with Davis and Embry before leaving the scene. Ashley Davis Harris was later indicted on five counts, including aggravated murder, in connection with Davis's death. Harris's godson, Khamante Turpin-Marshall, was also implicated in the case. The court found Harris guilty, and her convictions were affirmed by the Court of Appeals of Ohio.
