In the early morning hours of September 29, 2018, the life of 18-year-old Areeyon Lane was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire at a Speedway gas station on East Third Street in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The incident unfolded around 3:46 a.m., a time when the city was otherwise quiet. Lane was struck by the bullets and swiftly transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he succumbed to them shortly after arrival.
